JUST THE TWO OF US

While dining in an airport restaurant I noticed a young mother and her infant child. Though hundreds hurriedly passed, for them, they were the only ones present, each transfixed on the another. Her obvious delight in interacting with her child made me wonder, does God delight in nurturing us?  Then I remembered: “He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Father, I am so humbled and amazed to think of You singing over us as You nurture our created purpose. Sweep me into that moment where there is only You.
