Humility is the God-designed
pathway to promotion in His Kingdom. Humiliation is a painful substitute, but
it can still work if we respond to it correctly. We must turn our faces to the
wall and cry out to the Righteous Judge or face the consequences of stubborn
arrogance. Pointing to the pride of others to justify our own only increases
the length and intensity of the trial. Love can be summed up in one word:
“others”. The paradox of faith is that I must diminish so God can work mightily
through me. Glorious God and Father, I bow to Your Greatness. Make me an
instrument of Your blessing.
