The
key to clarity of sight through a set of binoculars is proper focus. We must
not only look in in the right direction, but also learn the intricacies of
dialing in; orienting our hope is no different. To turn to God is the beginning
of hope, but we must dial in to the Word of God to maintain clarity. Scriptures
give us focused hope and encouragement as we wait for God’s promises to be
fulfilled. Placing hope in anything but the LORD Almighty is a recipe for
disaster; no mortal substitute will do. Lord of Hope, forgive my wandering
eyes. You alone are my sure foundation and constant salvation. My heart is
safely in Your hands.
