NEGLIGENT

Why am I still surprised how quickly things deteriorate since I know everything of this world does? Much of my attention is focused on what is new, fresh and cutting-edge but I am often negligent with what I already have. I don’t care very much about new material things. What pulls-on my attention is new experiences, fresh understanding, and cutting-edge effectiveness. But, like physical things, neglected relationships or unapplied knowledge will also deteriorate. Father, forgive my tendency to neglect what I already posses. You rightly require good stewardship. Help me be more faithful with what I already have been given.
