“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day,” Psalm 93:1-3 NIV. The Bible is brimming with music, singing, and worship. After crossing the Red Sea Miriam danced with a tambourine & led Israel in a song. The Psalms is not only jam-packed with praise, but it is also the songbook David, one of the Bible’s greatest worshippers. Jesus was born into this world among a chorus of angels, and all of Heaven seems continually filled with songs and unending worship. The heart of a child of God should remain a place of joyful praise. “My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and make melody! Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.
Lord, You have placed a song in the heart of Your people, fill me with glorious praise,” Psalm 57:7-9 ESV. Today I again join the happy chorus!
