GOD'S GLORIOUS GLANCE

“For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB. I like to cook, so I end up in grocery stores quite a bit. Of course, there are often young moms distracted with shopping, and a small child nearby taking in all the sights and sounds. I often catch the eye of a strapped-in 2-year-old with my grandfatherly smile. I get everything from a busy glance to an occasional “eyes-locked-on, happy-face”. How pleasant those few seconds are! It’s still hard to grasp with my earthly mind, but God’s eyes are also looking “to and fro” across the earth for those moments with His children. He is looking to bless and connect with us, but we’re often far too distracted with our daily duties. LORD, remind me to “lift up my eyes” to You today in all I do. Father, sweep my heart into Your glorious glance and use me to bless others with Your amazing love.
